Albert B. "A.B." Morris, 66, of 115 Stewart Street, Waynesburg, died at 9:40 p.m. Saturday, September 19, 1998, in the Greene County Memorial Hospital emergency room, Waynesburg.

He was born February 16, 1932, in Waynesburg, a son of Albert E. and Helen Duvall Morris.
A lifelong resident of Waynesburg, he was a 1950 graduate of Waynesburg High School and attended the University of Pittsburgh for two years on full scholarship.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War.
Mr. Morris was the little league wrestling director for Area I wrestling for several years. He coached little league wrestling and football. He also had been a coach for minor league, little league and senior league baseball. He had coached the all-star team for many years.
Mr. Morris enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Waynesburg Sportsman Club, where he served as secretary and treasurer. He shot small bore for the Sportsman Club in the Pittsburgh Suburban Rifle League. He competed at the national competition in Camp Perry, Ohio. He also was a member of the National Rifle Association and the National Turkey Federation.
Mr. Morris was a member of Rolling Meadows Church of God, Waynesburg, and Waynesburg Masonic Lodge 153 F&AM, where he served as master in 1987 and 1988. He also was a member of the Pittsburgh Consistory, Valley of Pittsburgh.
He was a member of Waynesburg Fire Department and the former Civil Defense organization in Waynesburg. He participated in the ambulance service when it was part of Waynesburg Fire Department.
With his family, in 1957, he founded Morris and Sons Flooring and Decorating. In 1976, he began work for Cypress Emerald and was working as a fire boss at Emerald Mine in Waynesburg at the time of his death.
He was a member of UMWA Local 2258 and a committeeman for the Democratic Party.
On November 3, 1956, he married Pricilla McCollum, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Lori Beth Rush of Waynesburg, and Autumn Lynn and Lexie Lucinda Morris, both at home; three sons, Scott B., Ryan Douglas and Michael B. Morris, all of Waynesburg; six grandchildren, Ryan D. Morris II and J.R., Damien, Kaleigh, Raven and Cheyenne Rush; and several nieces and nephews.
He was the last member of his immediate family.
Deceased are a sister, Mary Emma Roberts; and a brother, Mark R. Morris.
