BIER - Friends of Mary Bier of Pike Street, Meadow Lands, who died Sunday, September 20, 1998, will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, in Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church, Meadow Lands, with the Rev. John O'Shea officiating. Interment in Immaculate Conception Cemetery. The Rosary Society of her church will recite the rosary at 2 p.m. Tuesday, and the Christian Mothers will recite the rosary at 7 p.m. Tuesday, both in the funeral home. The family suggests memorial contributions to Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal Church or Holy Family of Nazareth Development Fund.

CORNELL - Friends of Arthur "Tut" Cornell of Canonsburg, who died Saturday, September 19, 1998, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in Joseph P. Salandra Funeral Home, 304 West Pike Street, Canonsburg. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, September 22, in St. Patrick Church, Canonsburg. Interment in Forest Lawn Gardens Cemetery, McMurray. Full military rites will be accorded by the honor guard of VFW Post 191 of Canonsburg and American Legion Post 902 of Houston.
