George "Muck" Mahramus, 63, of Hendersonville, died Monday, September 21, 1998, in Manor Care, McMurray. Mr. Mahramus was a lifelong resident of the Canonsburg-Hendersonville area, where he was a member of All Saint's Greek Orthodox Church, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 191, The French Club and G.B.U. Club, all of Canonsburg. He also was a member of the Bears Club of Meadowlands and the Cuddy Club of Cuddy. He was owner and operator of Mahramus Refuse Co. for 25 years, and served with the U. S. Army. Surviving are his wife, Betty Rae Roach; a son, Louis Mahramus of Hendersonville; two daughters, Doris Withrow of Hendersonville and Georgia Slane of Florida; two brothers, Manual Mahramus of Titusville, Fla., and William Mahramus of Houston; two sisters, Freda Rowe of Fort Smith, Ark., and Goldie Price of Canonsburg; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are two brothers, Anthony "Tony-Muck" and Nick "Fluter" Mahramus; and a half brother, Nick Manos.
