Geraldine Elena McGurk Navin, 58, of 9709 Loudoun Avenue, Manassas, Va., formerly of California, died September 18, 1998, in her home. Surviving are her husband of 36 years, John T. Navin Jr.; three daughters, Charissa Hollyfield, Yvette Tangen and Colleen Colgan; two sons, John T. Navin III and Derek Navin, all of Northern Virginia; eight grandchildren; a sister, Neala Dawson of Pittsburgh; and a brother, Floyd McGurk of Greenville, S.C. A funeral liturgy will be offered September 23 at All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas. Entombment will be at Stonewall Memory Gardens, Manassas. Memorial contributions may be made to Washington City Mission or the Children's Library at California Public Library. Orthopedic nurse at Fairfax Hospital in Virginia
Mrs. Navin was a graduate of California Community High School. In her early years she was an administrative employee of the Central Intelligence Agency and lived several years in Africa. Later she became a registered nurse and served for 18 years as an orthopedic nurse at Fairfax Hospital, Fairfax, Va. She was a longtime member of the Rosary Altar Society at All Saints Catholic Church in Manassas.
