Mary Lola Nystrom, 85, a resident of Rest Haven Nursing Home, Canonsburg, formerly of Old Hickory Road, Washington, died at 2:20 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospital, Canonsburg. Mrs. Nystrom was a member of Crossroads Presbyterian Church and had been an active member for many years. She was a former employee of J.C. Penney Co., and she and her husband owned and operated an antique shop on Old Hickory Road, Washington. Mrs. Nystrom was a member of Crossroads Homemakers Club. On October 24, 1936, she married Carl Nystrom, who survives. Also surviving is a son, Dennis C. Nystrom of Pittsford, N.Y.; a daughter, Mona Brahs of West Finley; a brother, Leroy Sarber of Washington; a sister, Dorothy Weaver of Washington; six grandchildren, Robert A. Brahs III, Carla D. Blackhurst, Brant Nystrom, Lori Nystrom, Elizabeth Hershey and Barbara Brunner; and one great-granddaughter. Deceased is a daughter, Ruth M.
