Mary P. Walters, 73, of 243 South Washington Street, Waynesburg, died unexpectedly Tuesday, September 29, 1998, in Greene County Memorial Hospital. Mrs. Walters was a retired employee of ALLTEL. She worked as a switchboard operator for more than 35 years, first in Waynesburg and later in Kittanning. She resided most of her life in Waynesburg, lived in Kittanning for a few years and returned to Waynesburg in 1992. Surviving are two daughters, Shirley J. Miller of Waynesburg R.D.5, Linda Moran of Cleveland, Ohio; a son, Russell D. Walters of Wadsworth, Ohio; a sister, Irene Milliken of Waynesburg; six grandchildren, Daniel and Scott Brummage, Allen D. Miller, Stacy Moran and Kristy and Dakota Walters; and four great-grandchildren. Deceased is a son, Clarence Wesley Walters.
