Andrew Mondik, 96, of 112 West Pitt Street, Canonsburg, died at 4:40 p.m. Thursday, September 3, 1998, in Allegheny University Hospitals-Canonsburg. Mr. Mondik was a lifelong resident of Canonsburg, where he was a member of St. Patrick Parish, Fraternal Order of Eagles and Labor Temple. Prior to his retirement, he was employed at Electric Weld in Canonsburg, Flannery Bolt in Bridgeville, Standard Tin Plate and Continental Can Co. On June 2, 1928, in St. Michael's Byzantine Catholic Church, he married Anna Micik, who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Anna Marie Novak of Canonsburg; a brother, Frank Mondik of Canonsburg; a sister, Margaret Graytok of Houston; and several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three brothers, Joseph, Steve and William Mondik; and two sisters, Mary Mitchell Fritz and Pauline Nodianos.
