Violet Y. Newman, 82, of Preston Road, formerly of Ewing Street, Washington, died at 7 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 1998, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, following a three-week illness. Mrs. Newman was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Washington. She enjoyed fishing and gardening. On July 8, 1943, she married Earnest George Newman, who died February 7, 1989. Surviving are several nieces and nephews. Deceased are three brothers, Walter Casheba, Robert Sensky Sr. and John E. Yosinski; and a sister, Helen Sanchez.
