Zerelda Harris, 74, of 390 Rolling Meadows Road, Waynesburg, died at 9 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 1999, in Beverly Health Care, Waynesburg. Mrs. Harris was a member of First Baptist Church of Waynesburg and was a homemaker. During World War II, she worked for Duncan Miller Glass Factory in Washington and then worked for two years as a statistical checker for W.T. Grant Co. in New York City. Mrs. Harris later worked for 23 years as the society editor for the former Democrat Messenger in Waynesburg. On June 20, 1946, she married Charles W. Harris, who survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Linda Mayle of Bruceton Mills, W.Va., Janet Cree of Waynesburg and Joyce Hondru of Mt. Lebanon; four grandchildren, Becky Woods and Bryce, Scott and Troy Cree; three stepgrandsons, Scott, Mark and Todd Hondru; two sisters, Eleanor Tennant of Ft. Pierce, Fla., and Aldine Flaherty of Washington; a brother, Gaylord Swiger of Waynesburg; and several nieces and nephews. Zerelda Harris
