Retired from U.S. Steel Irvin works

Ross J. Worstell, 84, of Ridge Avenue, Canonsburg, died Sunday, June 13, 1999, in McMurray Hills Manor, McMurray.

He was born September 25, 1914, in Canonsburg, a son of James and Helen Hott Worstell.

Mr. Worstell was a 1932 graduate of Canonsburg High School and retired from U.S. Steel Irvin works.

He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Canonsburg and Chartiers Lodge 297 F&AM.

Mr. Worstell was a former member of Canon Lodge 204 Knights of Pythias.

On January 15, 1941, he married Mildred Williams, who survives.

Also surviving are four sons, James Worstell of Opopka, Fla., Robert and Ronald Worstell, both of Canonsburg, and W. Paul Worstell of Findlay, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Deceased are two brothers, Walter L. and Jack Worstell; and two sisters, Laura L. Decker and Helen M. O'Connell.
