Thomas R. Ullom, 77, of Weirich Avenue, Washington, died Sunday, February 28, 1999, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington. He was Presbyterian. Mr. Ullom was a registered plumber for the Local 27, prior to his retirement in 1984 after more than 50 years of service. During World War II, he served with the U.S. Army in the Pacific Theater in New Guinea, the southern Philippines and Luzon. He received the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, the Philippines Liberation Ribbon, the Good Conduct Ribbon and the World War II Victory Medal. On October 30, 1944, he married Beryl Jane Mortensen, who survives. Also surviving are five sons, Thomas Charles Ullom, David H. Ullom, John R. Ullom and Matthew T. Ullom, all of Washington, and Christopher C. Ullom of Tacoma, Wash.; two daughters, Evelyn Koschik of Clairton and Robynne Ruschel of Washington; a brother, James J. Ullom of Washington R.D.1; five sisters, Betty J. Bower of Hickory, Geraldine J. Russell of San Francisco, Calif., Frances E. Dodd and Jean M. Dodd, both of Canonsburg, and Shirley A. Gizoni of Washington; nine grandchildren, including Sean Ullom, Tonya Ullom, John Bombera Jr., Robert Koschik Jr., David W. Ullom, Michelle Ullom and Jenice Ullom; and three great-grandchildren.
