Russell Eger, 62, of Mt. Pleasant Township, died Saturday, February 27, 1999, in his home. He was a 1955 graduate of Scott Township High School. He worked in the power builder department of Cooper Industries, where he was a supervisor in the same department before retiring in 1993. He had been working for the past two years at Pennsylvania Transformer Technology Inc. Mr. Eger was a member of St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, McDonald, where he served as an usher and was a member of its softball team. He was a member of the White Eagles Society bowling team in Canonsburg. On May 10, 1958, he married Lillian Bobich, who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Cynthia Gaskill, Deborah Welesko and Andrea Garry, all of Mt. Pleasant Township, and Belinda DeMark of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Andrew Eger of McKees Rocks and Thomas Eger of Green Tree; a sister, Ellen Nidbella of Crafton; and five grandchildren, Elizabeth and Rebekah Welesko, Joyous and Faith DeMark, and John Gaskill.
