Monday, March 1, 1999 Clarence L. Young Retired glassworker was cattle farmer Clarence L. (Tite) Young, 82, of Cracraft Road, Washington, died Friday, February 26, 1999, in the Washington Hospital emergency room after being struck by an automobile. He was born February 12, 1917, in Marianna, a son of Clarence Sylvester and Iva Billingsley Young. Mr. Young was employed as a glassworker by Hazel Atlas Glass Co., Continental Can and Brockway, retiring in 1978. He also was a cattle farmer. He was a member of the Alpine Club, B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge 776, the Eagles and the Independent Club. Surviving are his wife, Florence A. Strawn Young; two daughters, Marjorie J. Young at home and Reita Romaine Young of Washington; four sisters, Buelah Ritchie, Gertrude Hertig and Florence Phillips, all of Washington, and Margaret Heatley of Plainfield, Conn.; a granddaughter, Rebecca Sharpe; and a great-grandchild. Deceased are six sisters, Mary Miller, Thelma and Evelyn Young, Dorothy Troutman, Ethel McElroy and Romaine Baker; and six brothers, Clyde, Herbert, Andrew, Harold, Myron and Howard Young.
