Charles Reed Lewis

Charles Reed Lewis, 58, of Fort Wayne, Ind., died Monday, March 15, 1999, in his home.

He was born November 28, 1940, in Harrisburg, a son of Hazel Grooms of Carmichaels.

Mr. Lewis was an engineer for VDO Mannesman Corp., Auburn, Ind., and owned C&S Engineering of Fort Wayne.

He was a member of Blackhawk Baptist Church.

Mr. Lewis served in the U.S. Air Force and enjoyed amateur radio and golf.

Surviving are his wife, Sharon M. Lewis; a daughter, Robin Lynn Meyers of Bethel Park; two sons, Mark C. Lewis of Angola, Ind., and David A. Lewis of Coldwater, Mich.; three sisters, Shirley Parisi of Taylor, Mich., Janet Williams of Lemont Furnace and Wanda Dobish of New Salem; a brother, Wilbur "Rick" Lewis of Chalk Hill; a stepson, Rex A. Rhondehamel of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and two grandchildren.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 17, in Blackhawk Baptist Church, 7400 East State Street Boulevard, Fort Wayne, Ind. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services of Allen County, Indiana, or the church. Interment in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne. Arrangements are under the direction of Hockemeyer & Miller Funeral Home, Fort Wayne.
