Harriet Ann Williams Rafail, 76, of Uniontown, died Thursday, September 23, 1999, in her home. Mrs. Rafail was a member of St. George Maronite Catholic Church, the Ladies Guild of St. George and the Altar Rosary Society, where she led the ladies in reciting the rosary for many years. She was a 1940 graduate of Union High School and was an active neighborhood chairman of the Leukemia Society, Heart Association and Cancer Society. Her husband of 55 years, Elias Gestin Rafail, survives. Also surviving are seven sons, Robert, Richard and Mark, all of Uniontown, Alan of Jefferson, Dr. Paul E. of McMurray, Dr. Frank of San Diego, Calif, and Vincent Rafail of Pittsburgh; and three daughters, Mary Jane Artis and Gale Jadyk, both of Uniontown, and Margaret Smalley of Dunbar; 12 grandchildren, Bethany and Krissy Jadyk, David, Stephanie, Thomas and Suzanne Artis, Ruth Barton, Ashley, Mary Kate, Michael and Elias John Rafail and Chrissy Steiner; two great-granddaughters; a brother, Frank Williams of Uniontown; and many nieces and nephews.
