West Finley farmer, longtime bus driver
Wilbert James Ealy, 81, of West Finley (East Finley Township), died Friday, July 14, 2000, in Humbert Lane Health Care Center, Washington.
He was born November 27, 1918, in East Finley Township, a son of Robert and Nannie Tustin Ealy.
Mr. Ealy served as a private first class in the U.S. Army during World War II. He received four overseas service bars for his contribution in the European-African campaigns.
He was a farmer and drove buses for Swart's Bus Co. of West Alexander and other area companies for 45 years.
Surviving are his wife of 53 years, Edna Ruth Ealy; two daughters, Janice Jones of West Finley and Elizabeth Dodson of Phoenix, Ariz.; a brother, Cecil Ealy of Prosperity; a sister, Betty Ealy of Waynesburg; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
A brother, Herschel Ealy, is deceased.
