McGuffey graduate was avid golfer
Scott W. McAdoo, 33, of Washington, died at 1:10 a.m. Saturday, July 15, 2000, from injuries received in an automobile accident.
He was born May 1, 1967, in Washington, a son of William Ross and Susan Ann Malone McAdoo of Claysville.
Mr. McAdoo was a resident of the Claysville and Washington areas all his life.
He was a 1985 graduate of McGuffey High School and attended West Liberty State College.
Mr. McAdoo was Protestant.
He had been employed as a laborer for Allegheny Technology (formerly Jessop Steel Corp.) in Washington for the past 12 years.
Mr. McAdoo was an avid and exceptional golfer and was a member of Greene County Country Club, an original member of the Pavella Cup golf team representing Greene County, participated in several amateur golf events in the tri-state area and had won several club championships at Double Dam Golf Course in Claysville.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife, Pamela Jo Clutter McAdoo, whom he married September 17, 1988; a daughter, Mariah McAdoo; a son, Bailey Scott McAdoo; a sister, Melissa King of West Finley R.D.2; and his paternal grandmother, Edith Doman McAdoo of West Alexander.
Deceased are his maternal grandparents, George Malone and Dolores (Fuzzy) Dorsey Malone McAllister; a stepgrandfather, Paul McAllister; and his paternal grandfather, Albert E. (Bill) McAdoo.
