June Rose Safran, 68, of 36 Old Hickory Ridge Road, Washington, died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, June 29, 2000, in Washington County Health Center, Washington, after a lengthy illness. She was born February 12, 1932, in Turtle Creek, a daughter of Robert and Emily Grace Jackson Weir. Mrs. Safran was a pharmacy cashier for several years. She was Protestant. Surviving are a son, Clyde Phelps of Pittsburgh. Mrs. Safran was the last of her immediate family. Burial will be private, with arrangements being handled by Hummell and Barnhill Memorial Chapel Inc., Washington.
