Robert "Rowboat" Keron, 75, of Woodland Avenue, Washington, died at 7 a.m. Wednesday, June 28, 2000, in Canonsburg Hospital. He was born April 2, 1925, in Washington, a son of Andrew and Lucy Malik Keron. Mr. Keron was owner of Rowboat's Pizza Shop, Washington, and formerly worked at Duncan Miller Glass. He was Catholic and a member of Slovak Club and Polish Club. Mr. Keron was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II, serving in Normandy, Northern France, the Rhineland, Ardennes and Central Europe. He received a Purple Heart, Good Conduct Medal, European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal, American Campaign Medal and World War II Victory Medal. Surviving are several nieces and nephews; a brother, Rudolph (Rudy) Keron of Washington; four sisters, Mary Slavikosky of Gainesville, Fla., Margaret Williams of Canonsburg and Mildred Strnisha and Josephine Roupe, both of Washington.
