Julia Sommer, 82, of Glenview, Ill., died at 5:45 p.m. Saturday, December 23, 2000, in the extended care facility of Holy Family Hospital in Des Plaines, Ill.
She was born March 15, 1918, in Canonsburg, a daughter of Andrew and Mary Gulyban.
Mrs. Sommer attended Canonsburg schools and graduated from Canonsburg High School in 1938.
She was Catholic.
Surviving are her husband, Bernard Sommer; a son, Brian Sommer of Wheeling, Ill.; two grandchildren, Jennifer and Cody Sommer; a sister, Theresa Taylor of Canonsburg; and several nieces and nephews.
Deceased are two sisters, Mary Dusza and Helen Kartik; and two brothers, Louis and Andrew Gulyban.
At the request of the deceased, there was no visitation.
