George W. Taylor, 90, formerly of Houston and Meadow Lands, died Wednesday, January 3, 2001, in the Kade Nursing Home, Washington.
He was born March 15, 1910, in Burgettstown, a son of George W. and Jennie Viola Day Taylor.
Mr. Taylor retired in 1972 from Jessop Steel, Washington, where he had worked as a grinder. He also had worked for many years as a coal miner and was a member of the Jessop Club and the United Mine Workers of America.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Taylor had served with the U.S. Army.
Surviving are two brothers, Thomas and William R. Taylor, both of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.
Three brothers, David, John and Otto Taylor, are deceased.
