Charles D. Horne, 68, of Washington, died Saturday, January 6, 2001, in Washington Hospital.
He was born May 26, 1932, in Washington, a son of Charles G. and Hazel Bennington Horne.
Mr. Horne was a member of First Christian Church of Washington.
He graduated from Chartiers High School in 1950 and was a systems analyst for Consolidated Coal Co., retiring in 1933 after 38 years of service.
Mr. Horne was a drummer in the Washington area, playing for The Weekend Edition and several other bands. He was an avid golfer.
During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Army.
On December 30, 1975, in Winchester, Va., he married Marie Edgell, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Roger D. and Michael D. Horne, both of Washington, and Ronald E. Hoffman of Houston; three daughters, Tammy Hoffman of Washington, Donna L. Geraci of Pittsburgh and Michele Hoffman of Jacksonville, N.C.; a sister, Lois Anne McGary of Washington; 12 grandchildren; and a niece and a nephew.
