Edna E. Cox

Former cook for D.D. Ranch

Edna E. Cox, 85, of Allison Avenue, Washington, died at 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2001, in Kade Nursing Home.

She was born September 15, 1915, in South Strabane Township, a daughter of Frank P. and Isa Ann Miller Ritter.

Mrs. Cox worked as a cook for D.D. Ranch.

She was married to Thomas E. Cox, who died in 1983.

Surviving are a son, Ralph Watson of Avella; a daughter, Loretta Ann Bebout of Washington; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are eight brothers, Edward, Frank, William, John, Howard, Clarence, Charles S. and Ralph Ritter; and four sisters, Harriet Keenan, Helen Virginia and Bertha and Loretta Ritter.

Private graveside services were held Monday, July 16, with interment in Emmanuel Presbyterian Church Cemetery. Arrangements were handled by William G. Neal Funeral Homes Ltd., 925 Allison Avenue, Washington.
