Mildred Kover

Avid bingo player

Mildred Kover, 83, of Slovan, died at 2:50 p.m. Sunday, July 8, 2001, in Washington Hospital.

She was born June 21, 1918, in Avella, a daughter of John and Lilly Yeater Meto.

Mrs. Kover was a homemaker and an avid bingo player.

She attended Our Lady of Lourdes Roman Catholic Church in Burgettstown.

On May 15, 1937, she married George Kover Sr., who died June 30, 1998.

Surviving are two sons, John Kover of Atlasburg and Victor Kover of Slovan; two daughters, Lillian Rogers of Cerritos, Calif., and Betty Bogo of Avella; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Deceased are a son, George Kover Jr., who died August 18, 1996; a brother, Dominic Meto; and a sister, Anna Belle Truxal.
