Clyde L. Bonds

Clyde L. Bonds, 82, of Washington, died unexpectedly Friday, July 6, 2001, in his home.

He was born January 20, 1919, in Bessemer, Ala., a son of Viola Eddins and Willie C. Bonds.

Mr. Bonds was a member of Friendship Baptist Church of Washington, where he served as deacon. He also served as an usher and was an active member of the senior choir and gospel chorus.

He was previously employed as a truck driver with W.H. Martin Co. in Washington.

Surviving are his wife, Gertrude I. Bonds; a son, Robert V. Reed of Pittsburgh; a daughter, Vera Bonds of Los Angeles, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Deceased are a sister and a brother.
