Vasco J. Marraccini

Lifelong resident of New Eagle

Vasco Joseph Marraccini, 85, of New Eagle, died Friday, July 6, 2001, in Thorpes' Personal Care Home, Charleroi.

He was born June 5, 1916, in New Eagle, a son of Modesta and Narcissa Fornaciare Marraccini.

Mr. Marraccini was a lifelong resident of New Eagle.

He was a member of Transfiguration Roman Catholic Church of Monongahela.

Mr. Marraccini was a graduate of Monongahela High School.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in World War II and the Korean War.

Mr. Marraccini was a life member of New Eagle Volunteer Fire Department and retired from Lee-Norse Co. of Charleroi.

Surviving are a son, Leonard Marraccini of Finleyville; and two grandsons, Dean and Damon Marraccini.

Deceased are his wife, Ada Parente Marraccini, who died in 1981; two brothers, Joseph and Geno Marraccini; and two sisters, Margaret Schwartz and Nellie Marraccini.
