Valeria Hundzienski

Homemaker loved to crochet

Valeria J. Hundzienski, 85, of Canonsburg, died at 2:40 a.m. Sunday, July 8, 2001, in Canonsburg General Hospital.

She was born September 23, 1915, in Arona (Westmoreland County), a daughter of John and Sophie Glos Capiola.

Mrs. Hundzienski spent most of her life in Canonsburg, where she was a member of St. Genevieve Roman Catholic Church and its Holy Rosary Society.

She loved to crochet when her health permitted.

Mrs. Hundzienski was a homemaker.

On February 19, 1936, she married Joseph Hundzienski, who died December 24, 1993.

Surviving are a son, Kenneth Hundzienski of Canonsburg; four daughters, Valeria Parganos of New York City, N.Y., Kathleen Behanna of Monongahela and Patricia Veres and Carol Bell, both of Canonsburg; a brother, Alex Capiola of Canonsburg; two sisters, Mary Holland of Canonsburg and Sophie Conn of Yellow Springs, W.Va.; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are a son, Joseph "Whitey" Hundzienski Jr.; a brother, August Capiola; and a grandson, Shawn Hundzienski.
