Frank J. "Bud" Nagy, 72, of Parker Street, Houston, died Friday, June 15, 2001, in UPMC-Presbyterian hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born April 4, 1929, in Washington, a son of John and Anna V. Kosey Nagy.

Mr. Nagy retired in 1991 from Ciba-Geigy, where he worked for 23 years, and also was a bricklayer.

He was a member of Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church in Meadow Lands, Fraternal Order of Bears in Meadow Lands and an honorary member of Chartiers Township Volunteer Fire Department.

On April 29, 1950, he married Marie Dragan, who survives.

Also surviving are three sons, Kenneth Nagy of Granite Bay, Calif., Dennis Nagy of Meadow Lands, and Charles Nagy of Washington; six grandchildren, Adam, Brian, Natalie, Nicholas, Ethan and Kevin Nagy; two brothers, Ted Nagy and Butch Nagy, both of Washington; two sisters, Margaret Everly of Pike Creek, Texas, and Mary Serbin of Warren, Ohio.

Deceased is a sister, Dolores Stiles.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, June 18, in Our Lady of Miraculous Medal Church, Meadow Lands, with the Rev. John O'Shea officiating. Arrangements were made by McIlvaine-Speakman Funeral Home Ltd., 27 Cherry Avenue, Houston, a Woodruff partner. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
