Samuel J. Tornichio

Samuel J. Tornichio, 70, of Canonsburg, died Monday, June 18, 2001, in his home.

He was born June 5, 1931, in Carnegie, a son of Antonio and Rose Chaido Tornichio.

Mr. Tornichio was a resident of Canonsburg since 1971, where he was a member of St. Patrick Church.

Prior to his retirement, he was employed by Norfolk & Western Railroad as a freight repairman.

On March 2, 1957, he married Corrine Y. Parry, who survives.

Also surviving are four daughters, Tina Colbert of Eighty Four, Debra Ladzinski of Canonsburg, Teresa Farrar of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and Joni Rumelfanger of Canonsburg; three sisters, Teresa Chianese of Johnstown, Dolores Doman of Philadelphia and Betty Kury of Pittsburgh; six grandchildren, Julie and Brandon Colbert, Mia Ladzinski and Lia, Enzo and Nico Farrar; and several nieces and nephews.
