Slovan man in moving industry for 50 years

McKinley Perry Crow Jr., 73, of Slovan, formerly of Mesta Drive, Washington, died Monday, June 18, 2001, in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, after a three-month illness.

He was born October 13, 1927, in Wellsburg, W.Va., a son of McKinley P. and Martha Amos Crow.

Mr. Crow was employed by Kelly Mayflower for 20 years, Anderson Transfer for five years, Greene Transfer for three years and owned and operated his own business with Mayflower Van Lines until his retirement. He was in the moving industry for more than 50 years.

Mr. Crow made his home with May Wilkins.

His first wife, Dorothy Hixenbaugh Crow, died in 1993. His second wife, Mary Harris Crow, survives.

Also surviving are a son, William Crow of Graysville; two daughters, Linda Crow and Barbara Schweinebraten, both of Washington; a brother, John Crow of Washington; two sisters, Mary Johnston of Washington and Martha Guiddy of Weirton, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Jeff, Barbara and Sherry Crow, April Schweinebraten and Debra Baumgartner; and several nieces and nephews.

Deceased are five sisters, Zella Durilla, Irene Kurpil, Helen and Stella Latshaw and Pearl Wheeler.
