Jerry B. MacCartney, 69, of Beverly Hills, Fla., died Wednesday, June 20, 2001.

He was born in Claysville.

Mr. MacCartney moved to Beverly Hills six years ago from Franklin.

He was a pharmacist and had retired in 1986 from Eli Lilly Co. in Pittsburgh and in 1989 from Franklin Regional Medical Center.

Mr. MacCartney was a member of Claysville American Legion.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Mr. MacCartney was Presbyterian.

Surviving are his wife, Patricia L. McCrerey MacCartney; two sons, Jeffrey B. MacCartney of Youngstown, Ohio, and Timothy J. MacCartney of Virginia Beach, Va.; three daughters, Deborah A. Beohmer of Virginia Beach, Kellie S. Garland of Polk and Julie L. White of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Jack Earl MacCartney of Boardman, Ohio, and James R. MacCartney of Coudersport; and 12 grandchildren.
