14 October 1997 - In the obituary of Bernice Danek, published Monday, indicated that she was from Midway.  Mrs. Danek was from Joffre. 

14 October 1997 - In the obituary of Bertha Jane Willard, published Monday, her mother's first name was spelled incorrectly. Her name is Avis Rush Funk. Also, the last name of two of her grandchildren, Genie and Craig Szygenda was spelled incorrectly. 

14 October 1997 - In the obituary of Albert Brody, published Monday, the name of a sister, Elizabeth J. Hollingsworth, was spelled incorrectly. 

7 October 1997 - In the obituary of Marie Balliard Furiga, published Sunday, she was incorrectly referred to as Mrs. Balliard instead of Mrs. Furiga. 

7 October 1997 - In the obituary of Ernest J. Scuvotti of Washington, who died September 21, 1997, omitted were the names of a deceased brother, Carmen Scuvotti, and a deceased sister, Mary Cobucci. 

5 October 1997 - Incorrect information was provided for the obituary of Catherine Conti Ashbaugh Voelker, published Saturday. Her father's name was James Vincent Conti, and her mother's name was Mary O'Conner. 

3 October 1997 - In the obituary of Irene Weimer, published Wednesday, the hometown of her daughter, Leoda Stewart, was incorrect. She lives in Masontown. 

2 October 1997 - Incorrect information appeared in the obituary of Michael T. Caldwell, published Wednesday. He was born August 29, 1976 

30 Sep 1997 - In the obituary of Annabelle Hackney of Clarksville, which was published Monday, her Lions Club membership was incorrect. She was a member of Clarksville Area Lions Club. 

26 Sep 1997 - Incorrect information appeared in the obituary of Mary M. Zirwas, published Wednesday. She was born May 31, 1905, a daughter of Mathias and Katherine Meyer Zirwas. 

26 Sep 1997 - In the obituary of Norma Pressler, published Wednesday, the name of her son, Willard Hartley, was spelled incorrectly. 

26 Sep 1997 - Incorrect information appeared in the obituary of Sophia Doumont published Wednesday. She died in Humbert Lane Health Center in Washington, not McDonald. 

23 Sep 1997 - In the obituary of Wade H. Clingerman, which was published Monday, his daughter's name, Kristin A. Clingerman, was spelled incorrectly. 

21 Sep 1997 - Information was omitted from the obituary of Robert E. Lambert, 46, 0f 210 Henry Street, Belle Vernon, which was published Saturday. Also surviving is a sister, Mary Nicholson of Bentleyville. 

17 Sep 1997 - Incorrect information was provided for the obituary of Justin Haluschak, published Tuesday. Annette Haluschak was not his wife. She was his stepmother. 

16 Sep 1997 - Omitted from the obituary of Anna E. Mihalich, published Monday, were two surviving brothers, George and Nick Bozic. 

15 Sep 1997 - In the obituary of Florence M. Stewart Husk, published Saturday, a deceased sister, Nellie Cole, was misidentified. Also, a nephew died in infancy. 

10 Sep 1997 - In the funeral notice for Rose Oliver Guzzo, published Tuesday, an incorrect cemetery was listed. Interrment is in St. Patrick Cemetery, Canonsburg. 

9 Sep 1997 - In the obituary of Charles Helmick, published Monday, a surviving daughter, Nellie Helmick Runyan, was listed incorrectly. A half sister, Nancy Helmick of Washington, survives, along with 15  grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. Deceased are a grandchild and two great-grandchildren. 

7 Sep 1997 - The obituary of Stanley Marshall, published Saturday, should have stated that he was survived by 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. 

6 Sep 1997 - In the obituary of Eleanor W. Bernhart, published Friday, the residence of a surviving sister, Louise Maize of Dover, Ohio, was listed incorrectly. 

4 Sep 1997 - Incorrect information appeared in the obituary of Jesse Costa, published Wednesday. He died in Haven Crest Inc., a nursing home in Carroll Township. 

2 Sep 1997 - The obituary of Ronald H. Woods, published Sunday, incorrectly listed the name of a surviving nephew, W. Chris Kiger. 

2 Sep 1997 - In the obituary of Louise Campesi, published Sunday, a name of a deceased son, Keith Joel Lancy, was incorrectly listed. 

29 Aug 1997 - Incorrect information was supplied for the obituary of Catherine Toth, published Thursday. Her grandchildren are Brian and Megan. 

28 Aug 1997 - In the obituary of Joseph G. Wiszczor Sr. Of Canonsburg published Wednesday, a sister, Loretta Shankovich, was incorrectlu identified. 

24 Aug 1997 - In the obituary of Evelyn Frye, published Saturday, the name of her son 
should have appeared as Paul "Bill" frye of St Petersburg, FL. 

23 Aug 1997 - The obituary of James "Iggy" Dutko, published Friday, should have stated 
that seven great-grandchildren survive. 

22 Aug 1997 - Incorrect information was provided for the obituary of Albert E. Dunn 
published Thursday. His nickname was "Doc" and he retired from McGraw 
Edison Electric in 1974. 

22 Aug 1997 - In the obituary of Helen Kotsenas Ligman which appeared Thursday, her 
maiden name was spelled incorrectly and a brother, William Kotsenas of 
Greensburg, was omitted. 

22 Aug 1997 - Infornmation provided for the obituary of George Pantely, published 
Thursday, omitted the names of two grandchildren, Jason and Tiffany 
Spiker. 

22 Aug 1997 - Incomplete information was received for the obituary of John B. Irwin 
published Thursday. Omitted was the name of a surviving daughter, 
Barbara Reger of Washington. another daughter's name, Teresa Johnson, 
was misspelled. 

18 Aug 1997 - Incorrect information appeared in the obituary of Charles H. Seghi, published Monday. His father, Albert W. Seghi Sr, is of Brownsville. He was incorrectly listed as deceased. 

15 Aug 1997 - In the obituary of Juanita Freeman of Bentlyville R.D.1, Somerset Twp., published Thursday. a surviving brother, Cloyd "Bucky" marshall ws incorrectly identified. 

5 Aug 1997 - In the obituary of William "Goulash" Faiete, of Fredericktown, published Monday, the name of a surviving daughter, Anita A. Hold, was incorrectly listed. 

8 Aug 1997 - The obituary of Joseph M. Fry, published Thursday, incorrectly listed him as being from Wellsburg, W.Va. He is from Avella, PA.. 

25 Jul 1997 - Incorrect information appeared in the obituary of Helen Dombrowski, published Thursday. The last name of her daughter, Debbie L. Verno was misspelled. 

22 Jul 1997 - A deceased sister, Josephine Tender, was omitted from the obituary of Elmer S. Jackson, published Sunday. 

20 Jul 1997 - Incorrect information was published Saturday in the obituary of Raymond Edward Whitmer. He was a member of Ironworkers Local 3 and had been employed at Pittsburgh Demoines and Salem Furnace. 

17 Jul 1997 - In the obituary of Loraine B. Millerpublished Wednesday, July 16, Miss Miller was incorrectly referred to as Mrs. Miller. 

15 Jul 1997 - Incorrect information was provided got the obituary of Joseph R. Lepowsky, which appeared Monday. A surviving sister should have read, Betty Pawlowski of Weirton, W.Va [sic]. 

14 Jul 1997 - In the obituary of Ethel H. Wright, published Sunday, the name of a surviving granddaughter, Marcia O'Conner Stein, was misspelled. Incomplete information was provided in the obituary of Betty Lee Columbus of Monongahela, published Sunday. Omitted were her deceased husbands, Edward J. Hick, died September 2, 1976. Her second husband, John S. Columbus, died March 16, 1986. 

12 Jul 1997 - Incorrect information appeared in the obituary of Stella Lesnock, published Wednesday. A deceased brother, Andrew, was misidentified as Alfred. 

9 Jul 1997 - Incomplete information was provided for the obituary of Stanley Bazant, published Tuesday. He was a longtime member of Avery Methodist Church; served on the board of directors for the Brownson House and United Cerebral Palsy, for which he also was president; and he served on Leo Trich's Job Retention Task Force. In addition to those mentioned, he si survived by nieces and nephews. 

7 Jul 1997 - Incomplete information was provided for the obituary of Opal Briggs, published Sunday. Deceased was a great-grandaughter. (No name given) In the obituary of Mary Anderson Hamilton, her deceased husband should have been listed as Alfred Hamilton, who died in 1971. 

5 Jul 1997 - Incorrect information was provided for the obituary pf James Vincent Longo, published Thursday. A sister Nicolina Miscio, was incorrectly listed as a brother, and Dorothy Diane Durst is of Carnegie, not Bridgeville. Also, two brothers and a sister are deceased. 

2 Jul 1997 - A grandson, Michael O. Martin, and one niece and one nephew were omitted from the survivors in the obituary of Roger Patterson, published Tuesday. The obituary of Nestor Lemonakis, published Tuesday, omitted the last name of his parents, Paul and Phyllis Mahramus Lemonakis of Canonsburg. 

30 Jun 1997 - In the obituary of Rudolph KArmann, published Sunday, two surviving brothers, Robert Karmann and Bob Karmann, were omitted. 

29 Jun 1997 - In the obituary of Joseph Butkevich of Brownsville, which was published Friday, the name of a surviving daughter, Eileen Joan Cooper, was listed incorrectly. 

19 Jun 1997 - Stella Gerhold's church is Peters Creek United Presbyterian. We are not doing this as a category. Right? I wanted to check. George L Kennedy - wife's name omitted - Eva H. Edwards Kennedy who died May 24, 1995.
